Preacher is Coming Back For Season 3. Get the Details and Some New Pics Here!

Good news for fans of hilarious, violent and quite astoundingly sacrilegious TV, as the folks over at Amazon have announced that Preacher will be returning to Prime Video in the UK for it’s third season, with the first episode set to appear Monday 25th of June. It will appear on AMC in the US on the 24th June. So just to whet your appetite here are three first-look images.

Based on the classic comic book series written by Garth Ennis and illustrated by the late Steve Dillon, Preacher tells the absurdly twisted tale of Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a small-town preacher inhabited by an angel-demon spawn that gives him the power to make people do his bidding, Tulip (Ruth Negga), his volatile true love, and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), a 119-year-old Irish vampire. Series two saw our most anti of heroes discovering that God is missing from heaven, which leads to them taking a road trip to find Him, all while being hunted by an unstoppable, mythical mass murderer, known as The Saint of Killers (Graham McTavish).

The new series, consisting of 10 episodes, is inspired by the second volume of the comic book franchise, Until the End of the World.

The Sony Pictures Television and AMC Studios co-production has quite a pedigree as it was developed for television by the human Fozzy Bear himself, Seth Rogen (Bad Neighbours, 22 Jump Street)Evan Goldberg (Sausage PartyNeighbours 2Superbad) and showrunner Sam Catlin (Breaking Bad).
